With the physical abuse and bullying you experienced when you were younger it is no doubt linked with how you are feeling now. Perhaps you subconsciously want to get back at everyone and show them that you are no one to be messed with. It takes a lot of self effort but you should first off stop looking at the pictures and stuff like what you linked. 5 mg is enough to make you relaxed really, it stays in your blood for hours, shame it did not work longer for you. 10 mg is the max doze in one tablet, so yeh ask him for that. other than therapy there arent really any better drugs to take valium normally works pretty well. there are stronger benzodiaepines to try, but they could make you very sleepy.

I recently received papers in the mail ( today ) that wanted me to elect to take Cobra Insurance. I read further and it said that I was terminated on June 22, 2011. I have been under doctors care due to Severe Vertigo since June 17, 2011 and still have doctor appointments with specialists in another week or so. I faxed several doctors excuses to the company, even telephoned them and let them know I wouldn't be at work due to Vertigo, as was written on my doctors excuse. Is it legal for the company to terminate me while still in treatment ? I am an equipment operator that has alot of peoples lives in my hands the entire duration of work. I operated a boom truck the last day that I worked and it felt like the boomtruck took off drifting on me as I was operating it with people in a manbasket. That is only one instance that I experienced. The vertigo has not gone away after several doses of antibiotics and a CT scan showed that I have Pansinusitis. Chest and neck pain.?

I been having this chest pain on the left side of my chest and it radiates through my left side of nick and up behind my left ear. I been having this for the last two months and the first time I noticed it I made an urgent appointment with my Dr. and they did an EKG test and heart attack was ruled out. A month after that I felt the same pain at a much higher level and this time I took some aspirin and rushed to emergency. They did a blood test, a chest ex-ray and an EKG test and again heart attack was ruled out and no medication or explanation was given to me as for what causes this pain. It has been about a month since I went to emergency and again the pain is far worse then the first and second time. I called my Dr. and again and explained all the symptom and he prescribed me a higher dose of anti acids which I have taken in the past and haven't noticed any differences at all. While I do feel stronger and irregular heart beats my Dr. and other Dr. at the emergency continue ruling out heart problems. I have no idea what to do next and this pain is getting more and more uncomfortable. Does anyone have any idea what this could be?

Problems With aim after getting a New Router.?

ok. I don't know if this is because of My new router or if aim is just having issues on its own. today i upgraded My 5 year old Linksys G router. With a New D-Link N ipv6 router. ok to explain this in detail i have Multiple computers in My house. My wife uses the Aim messenger on her computer. i use Pidgin on Mine which is a multiprotocal messenger. it supports Aim as well. this only happens on her computer using the AIM messenger. on My computer with pidgin it dose not happen even though its still the Aim protocal. what happens is when i send her an im, the second i send it she gets kicked offline. however on her end everything appears normal. no indication that anything is wrong. but no messages are sent or received from her computer until she restarts aim. This started happening the same day i got a new router. is this My router causing this? i installed pidgin on her computer and it works fine over aim. its only the aim messenger that is having issues. i reinstalled it and everything still same. is it aim or My router? if it is the router why would pidgin work and Aim not if they are both using the same protocol?

I woke up this morning with TERRIBLE cramps in my calves and ankles. Frankly, I think that you have several problems going on here, one of them an Orthopedic problem, and one a Psychiatric problem. I think if you REALLY want to be treated effectively and safely, you need to be 100% honest with your doctor, tell him EXACTLY what you have been taking, discuss yur fears with him, and see what he wants to prescribe. If you take more than what he has prescribed, then you're abusing drugs and you're on your own.

Addiction to painkillers in one week?

Ok, this may sound a bit silly, but I just wanted to check. My doctor gave me Tramadol (50mg) for headache pains. I started taking it on Monday. I only took one to two a day and stopped on Friday. Saturday I am having horrible body pains! I'm wondering if I just caught something like a cold and the medicine has been masking it. It's not possible to be addicted to Tramadol in the low doses after a week is it?

Does anyone have any "home-based" solutions for severely dry, sensitive and itchy skin?

I suffer from severely dry and itchy skin, that often gets quite sore (like pins are in it). On occasion I get eczema too. In my last consult with my dermatologist, I was prescribed a low-dose cortical steroid cream for whole body application and a higher dose one for areas affected by eczema. I was also prescribed SBR Barrier Repair Cream for whole body application. I have run out of the aforesaid, and will have to wait till at least Monday to get another script. Does anyone have a home-remedy I could use in the interim?

Well, it's not as if we don't know. I was raised attending Christian schools. In the very early grades, we were taught about the pre-Christian roots of many Christian holidays, such as Christmas, Easter, St. Valentine's Day and more. It would be hard to find a Christian who wasn't aware of these origins. Today, we often celebrate these holidays for different reasons than our Pagan friends, but we do still observe them. There are a few Evangelicals who refuse to celebrate them, but for the most part, they're still on the liturgical calendar.

But as for pharmaceutical drugs, they are way overprescribed and most of these doctors get paid commissions for prescribing those medications. It's a business and your their customer. Now a good psychologist(and you may have to look and ask around) will help you way more than any pill ever would because once you've corrected what's lacking in your life (or why you see it that way), then everything else falls into place, you feel good, and you realize you never needed them things in the first place. The thing about extensions is that sometimes they look really fake. My friend got hers and she only wore it once because they were a different color from her hair and they were uncomfortable. That's not saying that this will be the case, though. Just make sure your layers and choppy and shorter at the top and that you tease your hair and it should look fine. I started feeling sick around 3 a.m today & when I got up for work at 5:30 a.m I took a dose of pepto bismol. I figured that it would ease the sick feeling stomach pains. Hi fellow seniors, do you have any indoor houseplants?

Poinsettias are hard to maintain, so I usually do not keep them. Someone told me to plant it outside while it is warm and bring it back inside during the winter. I have also been told to put one in a basement and just keep it wet and that the leaves will come back out on it. I have never tried it, though. I have had inside plants over the years, gave up on them, and planted them all outside. I pick them and bring them inside for my flowers. In California, they grow year-round. We had some beside our house there. I am not particularly fond of them, though. I prefer natural wild flowers, azaleas, small flowering trees, and bushes.

How can I get my boss's pet bird to stop biting me?

I recently just started working at a pet store and my boss's pet umbrella cockatoo decided I would be it's new victim. It's fourteen years old and used to be very nice apparently. She seems to respond well with all the other workers there, but she follows me around the store attempting to bite me and it's very hard to focus on work while trying to fight off a bird strong enough to break my finger. Today, she lifted up her foot as a sign she wanted me to pick her up. I was scared but i did it and everything was fine until she bit five little holes into my arm for reasons i don't know. She also lets me pet her for a while but then goes to bite me. When I avoid her she picks up things and throws them around at the front counter for me to clean up. And as soon as i go back to pick up her mess she runs at me with her feathers puffed up trying to bite my face. It's not my pet so I can't train it. And I know it wants attention but I can't give her that while I'm working. If me and the bird could get along, work would be so much easier. Hi,I'm 13.Ever since I was a little kid,I always ate junk food,drank soda.all my friends were jelous of me because their parents didn't let them eat junk.I never gained any weight for some reason.Anyways,this year I took health class and It absolutely changed me.I realized why I always got sick,why I always felt sad(junk food influences your mood),I had to eat better.When i first told my mom,she laughed and said it was a phase,I said it was a lifestyle choice.I have already been soda-free for 3 months,and I rarely have a burger here and there,other than that,I make sure I get my daily dose of protein and carbs and vitamins and everything,without eating junk like cake and sprite. My mom gets mad at me for this,she think's I have a eating disorder because I constantly turn down fatty foods,I tell her i just want to be healthy,but her being a phsycologist,she thinks she know me so well and that I think I'm overweght.I dont! She still eats unhealthy and she gets mad at me when I grocery shop with her and ask for yogurt instead of pudding,or whole wheat instead of white bread.I can never convince her,she thinks she knows everything and everyone,and I told her "would you rather have me obese?" and she just called me anorexic because I wanted a veggies style burger at IN-N-Out(lettuce instead of bun).I dont know why being healthy is so wrong?

Is it weird that im seriously scared of being sent to a mental hospital?

No matter what i want to never go to a mental hospital, in fact im seriously scared of going to a mental hospital and a lot of the time when I see my psychiatrist I think im going to be sent to a mental hospital because on almost all of my appointments I've needed to go on more medication (because sometimes im happy one minute and miserable the next so I got put on seroquel xr), or I needed to have the dose of my medication increased (happened first to my celexa from 20 mg to 30 mg, and once to my seroquel xr, from 150 mg to 300 mg), and half of the time I end up cutting soon (usually less than a week) before my psychiatrist appointment, and sometimes I get paranoid/scared and I lie, and one time I admitted that I like to hurt my little brother (not badly), and my psychiatrist oddly enough didn't think much of that. Is it weird that im so scared of being sent to a mental hospital when maybe going to one could help me? (And im never going to admit myself).

Hello all my name is chris and im new to this forum/disscussion board...here is my deal I have had kidney problems for going on 8 years now my right kidney is crystalizing and I have massive like 6.5mm stones that I pass just about everyother day.. mind you this has been going on 8 years... I am highly dependent on opiates... because simply put not a damn thing else works.... they first started me out on Norco 7.5 5x and day for 3 years ...then to the 10mg 5x daily ... well about 3 years they stopped working all together so I was put on percocet 10/325 6 tablets daily as needed...totally i was on hydrocodone for 5 years and oxy for 3... well 2 years ago the percocet stopped working and he switched me to roxicodone 15mg 1 pill 7x a day and i have been on that since....I am in severe pain but at this point I am so physically addicted that I am tired of being on the damn things... i don't abuse them i have always taken them as directed... but I know that withdrawal is HELL especially the length of time i have been taken them and the dose escalation...I do not know how to bring this up to my doc...I have 2 of them that work on me in the same medical building... and they both have been excellent ... i know you can taper but i dont know how to exactly... just any info would be appreciated ... thanks guys.

My 2004 Impala Trunk Won't open, why?

Tuesday, on my way to work it was raining a little, so when I got to work, I opened up my trunk and took out my umbrella. I had an appointment to get my brakes worked on later that day at the Raben across the street. On my break I dropped it off and walked back blah blah useless info. I get the car back, everything seems fine. Brakes are better, I'm happy. Until today. I needed to put something in my trunk, and when I hit the button on my remote, and I heard a whir, but nothing happened. I tried a button on the insde, same noise, no dice. I tried the key, and it wouldn't budge.I tried pushing down on the lid and various other tricks with no dice. My trunk is not very full so I doubt something is in the way, and there are no visible signs of damage where something hit me and perhaps put anything out of line. If memory serves me correctly, I remember hearingsometimes cars fall of the lifts at mechanics, and while it may land on its tires safely, it can do all sorts of crazy damage. So, in your expert opinion, was this in all likelyhood caused at the mechanic? Should I make them fix it, in light of the fact they might screw me again? Can I fix it on my own? If it was really dropped, what else might I want to check for damage?

Doctor's advice - intense weight loss / prescribed oxycontin/oxycodone?

My sister was involved in a serious motor vehicle accident 8 years ago and sustained injuries. After 2 years, she got pregnant and had a very painful delivery. The gynocologist prescribed her oxycontin/oxycodone for pain. Since then (6yrs) ago she has been prescribed these paralysing medications and she has built an immunity to them, so her and her doctor agreed that she should up her doses. She did not know that this drug could actually make you become addicted. She is on over 300 mg's of prescribed synthetic heroin and weighs a whopping 90 pounds, she has been loosing weight since dec.2011. All of her bones are showing, her shoulder blade rubs against her rib cage, her spine sticks out, she is a skeleton. The doctor said she has no time to care for her, after she prescribed her such a high dose of synthetic heroin. The doctor said its like a cold glass of water in her face. She told my sister to look up articles in magazines if she wants advice on saboxown a type of drug to help wheen patients off this drug. Now my sister has no doctor, she is left with one weeks prescription, she cannot cut off these drugs cold turkey, this is lethal to her health. She could even die because of her weight problem. She's been on these drugs 6 years, has never unused them, she has a daughter that is 6 now, and all she wants to do is to wake up and start her day. She does not want to take them anymore. She is more then willing to work with any professional to get off of these. The doctor up'd her dose 1 month ago and dropped her as a patient. My sister got her last appointment on a voice memo on her ipod, she cannot find another family doctor, she has called walk in clinics, crisis center, telehealth [ottawa,ontario], everyone has told her to go to emergency and the hospital told her they would not prescribe that to her. Is there anything she could do? Anyone know of any doctors that have the time to deal with her pain issues, she takes this drug for back and neck pain, so there is a reason for taking it. She will then have to deal with the pain and withdrawals. She looks really sick. But she needs the meds. She doesnt think the drugs and intense weight loss has anything to do with each other. How can I get more energy?

I have several factors playing into my "energy crisis". I currently have fibromyalgia, pms, and am tapering down percocet use from 10mg a day to 2mg a day. I am sensitive to caffeine so I can only drink a little. My Rheumy put me on Magnesium for energy but so far that has been a joke. I am also doing spring cleaning this week so I need energy. Sugar helps but my waistline doesn't appreciate it very much. This last week was awful energy wise, I have had so much going on and was so tired I could barely walk, no kidding. I think trying to up my dose of Neurontin was partly to blame (this was suggested by Doctor). Never again will I try that! Ive been getting help, I've been going to therapy since december (of last year) and I've been taking medication since this march, and on almost all of my psychiatrist appointments I've needed to start taking more medicine, or I needed to go on a higher dose, just over a week ago I got my seroquel xr doubled, and now im on 300 mg seroquel xr to stabilize my moods (which are rarely a problem, but when they are a problem they are just as bad/worse than my lengthy depressed/anxious spells, at times i feel happy one minute, and miserable the next and it makes me feel so unstable, like im losing my mind) and 30 mg celexa for my depression, and I used to cut a lot, and im still tempted to cut a lot at times. When can I really be sure that im finally stable and not just feeling good in the moment?

Sore throat?? HELP. asdfghjkl;?

So screw this. I have had a sore throat for 6 days now. it's not a regular all over sore throat, random part of my throat just swelll up and it hurts like a ***** to swallow. first i had a regular sore throat, then a fever the next day. the fever went away i was left with the sore throat and clogged ears. i went to the doctor and she gave me congestion pills (why idk) and some ear drops for wax build up in my ears. Hi,I'm 13.Ever since I was a little kid,I always ate junk food,drank soda.all my friends were jelous of me because their parents didn't let them eat junk.I never gained any weight for some reason.Anyways,this year I took health class and It absolutely changed me.I realized why I always got sick,why I always felt sad(junk food influences your mood),I had to eat better.When i first told my mom,she laughed and said it was a phase,I said it was a lifestyle choice.I have already been soda-free for 3 months,and I rarely have a burger here and there,other than that,I make sure I get my daily dose of protein and carbs and vitamins and everything,without eating junk like cake and sprite. I'm taking erothromycin for a chest infection and and infected ingrowing toenail. I started taking it Friday afternoon, took the recommended dose yesterday and then towards the end of the day (after my second dose) I started to feel a little nauseous. I doubt she really wants to hurt you. Then tell her that you want to be more responsible with your meals.
